API Tokens

Generate API Token in Freshchat 

You can generate API Tokens from your Freshchat account to access Freshchat APIs.To do this,

1. Go to Admin settings > APIs for chat
2. Click Generate Token

You can delete a generated token by clicking on the drop-down next to it.  

Note: 
1. Only one token can be generated at a time. To obtain a new token with the latest scope, the user needs to delete the old token and generate a new one.
2. Only the account admin will have the necessary access and privileges to delete the existing token and create a new one.
3. Once you generate a token, ensure that you store and transmit it securely as the APIs grant access to all the user and conversation data in your account.
